The NIS2 Directive Lead Implementer training provides participants with the knowledge necessary to assist an organization in effectively planning, implementing, managing, monitoring and maintaining compliance with the NIS2 Directive.
WHAT IS THE NIS2 DIRECTIVE?
The NIS 2 Directive (also known as Directive (EU) 2022/2555), which comes into force on January 16, 2023, aims to improve the security of network and information systems in the European Union. This directive specifically targets operators of critical infrastructure and providers of essential services and requires the implementation of robust cybersecurity measures and the immediate reporting of incidents to the competent authorities.
The scope of the NIS 2 Directive is broader, covering a wider range of organizations and sectors, while tightening security requirements, simplifying reporting obligations and imposing stricter measures and penalties. By complying with the requirements set out in the NIS 2 Directive, organizations can improve their cybersecurity measures, protect critical assets and actively contribute to building a secure digital environment in the European Union.

EDUCATIONAL APPROACH
This training includes essay-type exercises, multiple-choice tests, examples and best practices.
The exercises are based on a case study.
The structure of the quizzes is similar to the certification exam.
PREREQUISITES
The main prerequisite for participation in this training is a general knowledge of information security.

This course is self-paced, with all course materials provided by PECB. Here’s what this includes:
- Official Training Materials: You will receive access to the official training materials designed by PECB within 24 hours (on working days).
- Electronic Format: All training materials are provided in electronic format, featuring plain text, tables, infographics, images, and bullet lists for easy understanding.
- Certification/Exam Voucher: You will receive a voucher for the certification exam, which covers the examination fees. The exam is conducted remotely via the PECB Exams application. Each participant is allowed two free attempts. The same voucher is used to obtain the official certificate after the Exam has been successfully passed.
- No Video or Live Guidance: The course does not include video guidance or mentorship, either live or pre-recorded.
